January Open Day
We will be open to visitors from 10:00 to 15:00 on 11th January, 2015.
Guided orchard tours followed by cider tasting and Wassail will start at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
We would like to invite you to join us for our January open day at Welsh Mountain Cider, Prospect Orchard SY186JY. We will be open to visitors from 10:00 to 15:00 on Sunday 11th January, 2015.
We get many people asking to come and tour the orchard and ask advice about tree planting and cider making during the bare root tree season, so this year we decided to organize open days where people can come and do just this. Our October Open Day was a great success. If you have any questions about apple tree varieties, pear tree varieties, tree planting or cider making this is a perfect opportunity to come and see how we do it here. We will be giving a tour of our orchard and tree nursery, complimentary cider tasting and an opportunity to buy some of our outstanding vintage ciders. We will also be wassailing our trees with music and hot cider to ensure a good crop in 2015! Weather permitting, it will be possible to buy trees (although they are currently selling fast, so better to get your order in and reserve trees as soon as possible) and collect your reserved trees. Please bring wellies, warm clothes, a rain coat and a picnic lunch.

Welsh Mountain Cider
Welsh Mountain Cider is made deep in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains at over 1000 feet above sea level. The finest fresh juicy apples are pressed in traditional Welsh Oak presses and are left to ferment with their own indigenous natural yeasts. This juice is matured for up to 18 months in oak casks, producing a unique cider with an uncommonly rich depth of flavour. All our cider is live and sulphite free.
