Oonty Tump

5.9% abv 75 cl. bottle

A rich, tannic, medium sweet cider, harvested in Beambridge, Shropshire.

Oonty Tump is a Shropshire/Welsh Borders word for mole hill – Oont being mole and Tump a hill. I've seen it written Hwnt, Want or Wut as well, but Oont was the most common, and most fun to write and say as well. Tump also can be used to a pile of apples for cider making – you tump them until ready to press.

Varieties: Herefordshire Redstreak, Bloody Butcher, Morgan Sweet, Brown Snout

Pressed 15/11/23

Racked 21/12/23, 18/01/24

Bottled 28/05/24

Disgorged 22/01/24
